John D. Quinlivan

Veteran - Lt. Colonel, US Army, Rtd.

John Quinlivan is a 20-year veteran of the United States Army having served at a variety of duty stations across the country and around the world.  He retired from the Army as a Lieutenant Colonel in 2003 and immediately joined HCA Healthcare.

Since joining HCA, Quinlivan has led hospital systems in Florida and the Atlanta area.  He was named Chief Executive Officer of Redmond Regional Medical Center in 2010.

During his tenure, Redmond has twice been named the top midsized hospital in Georgia.  Redmond was named to the Top 100 Hospitals list for 2020, the only Georgia Hospital to appear on the list.  Long known as a heart hospital, Redmond has continued to expand and innovate.  Under Quinlivan’s leadership, Redmond launched a graduate medical education program, which now provides training to more than sixty physicians annually.

Quinlivan graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in business administration.  He earned a Masters of Health Administration from Baylor University.  He serves on several non-profit boards and is president-elect of the Rome Rotary Club.  Quinlivan is a past chairman of the Rome-Floyd Chamber of Commerce and a former member of the board of trustees of the Georgia Hospital Association.

He and his wife, Paige, live in Rome, Georgia and enjoy spending weekends on their farm in Chattooga County.  They have two grown children and are most proud of their six grandchildren.
